The Cousins Foundations grew out of a shared vision by Tom and Ann Cousins to give generously to help strengthen healthy communities blossoming with promise. We support organizations that have a direct or indirect positive impact on the economic, environmental, social, or spiritual lives of the people they champion.
Our mission is to tackle big problems and build collaborative relationships in support of holistic approaches to achieving solutions that address the root causes of social and economic disparities in the communities we serve.
To model faith in action – The Cousins Foundations were established on the precept that we are called to serve – to build community, to have a lasting positive impact, and to give back to the individuals and institutions in our community.
Next Gen connects students' interests to the real world to reinforce success after high school.
Together with its neighbors, Focused Community Strategies is creating an equitable, mixed-income neighborhood where everyone can flourish.
Purpose Built Communities' Network Members prioritize wellness through medical care, mental health support, healthy food access, community spaces, arts, culture, and green areas. 
Leap Year boosts college success and literacy in metro Atlanta, engaging first-generation high school grads as second-grade reading coaches in a dynamic yearlong community service and college prep program.

The Cousins Foundations were built upon Tom and Ann Cousins’ principles that guided their vision and work to effect change by giving generously and engaging with others who shared their vision.
Lesley Grady is a co-principal with Chrysalis Lab and is described by colleagues as a catalyst, connector, synthesis, and strategist. With academic preparation in economic development and public policy, she has spent nearly three decades as a senior executive for major philanthropic and economic development organizations, providing strategic and creative leadership to create positive change.
Staci is a senior consultant with Chrysalis Lab and is a trusted and experienced philanthropic leader with a passion for issues related to racial equity, education, and sustainable solutions. Her specialties include community building, stakeholder engagement, and project management. An Atlanta native, Staci is on an Advisory Board for Seeing Whiteness for Anti-Racist Action and The Black Mecca Project, and she consults with the Radical Optimist Collective.
