Frequently Asked Questions

Below are the answers to some common questions people have for us. If you have a question that is not addressed here, we invite you to reach out so we can start a dialogue.

What are the Cousins Foundations?

While established as two separate entities, Cousins Foundation, Inc. (a private foundation established in 1963) and CF Foundation, Inc. (a public foundation established in 1997) have a shared mission and have been working together for twenty-five years. Together, Cousins Foundations are built on an ideology of trust, where people of faith and those committed to social justice can join together to work toward a more just future.

Where do the Cousins Foundations operate?

Geographically, our funding is focused on organizations based in Metro Atlanta, with a priority for initiatives serving these neighborhoods: the attendance zone of the Carver cluster in South Atlanta; East Lake; and Grove Park. We occasionally fund efforts in other communities important to the family.
